Practical one-to-one training for you and your dog
Everyday Dog Training offers friendly, practical dog training in Fraserburgh, working with you and your dog together rather than simply working with the dog in isolation.
Whether you want help with lead pulling, recall, jumping up, puppy foundations, everyday manners or simply understanding your dog better, sessions are shaped around what you want to achieve.
My aim is to give you straightforward, reward-based techniques that you can use confidently in everyday life.
No packages. No pressure to book more sessions than you need. Just practical help for you and your dog.
How I can help
Lead pulling
Helping make everyday walks calmer and easier to manage.
Recall
Building a more reliable response when you call your dog back.
Jumping up
Teaching calmer greetings around people and visitors.
Basic manners
Practical everyday skills for life at home and outdoors.
Puppy foundations
Starting good habits early with simple reward-based training.
Rescue dogs
Helping rescue dogs settle and build confidence in their new home.
Focus around distractions
Helping your dog pay attention when everyday life gets interesting.
Owner confidence
Giving you practical techniques you can continue using between sessions.
How sessions work
First session
The first session is about meeting both you and your dog, observing how you interact together and identifying where we can make practical improvements.
You'll leave with a few simple things to practise at home afterwards.
Follow-up sessions
Follow-up sessions are about seeing what has improved, building your confidence and helping with anything that still needs adjusting.
We'll reinforce what is working, adjust anything that is not working as well as expected and keep developing the skills you and your dog are learning together.
Everyday practice
We'll continue checking progress and looking at how the relationship between you and your dog is developing.
If it would be useful, later sessions can move onto your normal local walks so we can practise those skills in the everyday situations where you actually need them.
Every dog and owner is different, so this is a flexible guide rather than a fixed programme. Sessions are shaped around what you want to achieve with your dog, and there is no obligation to book more than one session.
My approach
My approach is practical, patient and focused on helping you build a better relationship with your dog. I use reward-based methods, clear communication and techniques that fit naturally into everyday life.
Reward-based
I use treats, clear verbal cues and clicker training where appropriate to encourage the behaviours we want to see.
Relationship-focused
Good training is not just about commands. It is about helping you and your dog understand each other and build confidence together.
Practical for everyday life
Walks, play, exercise and mental stimulation all play a part. The aim is to give you techniques that work in the situations you actually deal with day to day.

Finding the right support
Everyday Dog Training focuses on practical, everyday training for you and your dog. Severe aggression, complex bite cases, or concerns needing clinical or veterinary behaviour input may be referred to an appropriately qualified professional.
If you're unsure whether I can help, please tell me a little about your dog's needs when you get in touch.
About me
I've lived with, handled and worked around dogs throughout my life. Over the past 20+ years I've shared my home with four rescue dogs, including my current dog, Scobo.
I particularly enjoy working with rescue dogs and helping owners understand the dog in front of them. My approach is practical and patient, with the aim of giving owners the confidence to continue training long after a session has finished.
Everyday Dog Training was created to offer straightforward, affordable one-to-one help without expensive packages or unnecessary sessions.
